Since 1820, Ecuador has been one of the world’s leading high-quality bean producers. In 1998, Transmar established a bean exporting office in Guayaquil under the name of Colonial Cocoa de Ecuador S.A. The growth and success of that business prompted us to expand our business there with the construction of a cocoa liquor plant in Guayaquil. The exporting office and plant were joined to become Transmar Ecuador in 2008.
Transmar Ecuador is a completely vertical operation. Its teams oversee every stage of the supply chain from working on-site with farmers to stewarding each customer’s order through processing to assure optimal quality. Transmar Ecuador’s ability to create customized procurement and processing programs has earned it a client roster that includes small specialty-focused chocolate manufacturers to the very largest multinational firms.
